Ancient Egypt

"Concerning Egypt itself I shall extend my remarks to a great length,
because there is no country that possesses so many wonders,
nor any that has such a number of works which defy description."

The Rulers of Ancient Egypt according to the Ancient King Lists

The ancient Egyptians were polytheists, worshipping a multitute of gods. The gods were an integral part of daily life and formed the foci of state religious rites and personal practises. Some were defined by their roles in the creation, some by their influence on the affairs of the living, while others were associated with particular geographic locations. The gods also played an indispensable role in mortuary rituals and the belief in a posthumous afterlife.
